Trevin Howard wird neuer WR-Trainer bei Panthers Wrocław

Erfahrung in Europa gesammelt

Trevin Howard verstärkt den Trainerstab der Panthers Wrocław als Wide Receiver Coach. Der US-Amerikaner spielte selbst als WR und sammelte umfangreiche Trainererfahrungen in Europa. Er arbeitete mit Teams in Ungarn, Deutschland, Mexiko, Island und Österreich und war zudem als WR-Trainer der ungarischen Nationalmannschaft tätig.

Entscheidung für Panthers Wrocław

Ein entscheidender Grund für seinen Wechsel zu den Panthers war die Möglichkeit, mit erfahrenen Trainern und Spielern zusammenzuarbeiten. – „Like many other coaches and players throughout Europe, the goal is to reach the highest level of competition. When Coach Kuligowski presented the opportunity to me and explained the pedigree of coaches and players I would get to work with, such as OC Coach Studrawa, it was simply a no-brainer. I had to jump at the opportunity!"

Vorbereitung der WRs auf die neue Saison

Sein Ziel für die kommende Saison ist es, seine Spieler bestmöglich vorzubereiten und ihr Potenzial zu maximieren. – „The Panthers are bringing some of the best WRs in all of Europe, and the biggest challenge is just to ensure that is displayed!"

Howard legt großen Wert auf eine detaillierte Trainingsmethodik und darauf, dass die Spieler ihre Rolle auf dem Spielfeld verstehen. – „One thing I like to focus on when coaching in general is explaining why we are doing something and how it translates to actual game situations. I think they are much more receptive and bought into your coaching if you are able to do this." Er betont außerdem die rasante Entwicklung des American Footballs in Europa, bei der taktisches Verständnis eine Schlüsselrolle spielt. Er plant, Methoden einzuführen, die WRs helfen, das Spiel besser zu lesen und schneller Entscheidungen zu treffen.

Ziele für die Saison

Howard hat klare Ziele für die neue Saison. – „I want to focus on my guys knowing their alignment, assignment, and emphasis on execution! I believe we have a special group at WR, and this group can play a big role in taking a step closer to the trophy."

WRs als Schlüsselfaktor des Teams

Howard ist überzeugt, dass die WR-Formation in der kommenden Saison eine entscheidende Rolle spielen wird. – „The WR core will be responsible for a lot of points this season. Let’s have a special year!" Panthers Nation kann sich darauf verlassen, dass sie einen der härtesten Arbeiter im Team bekommen. Er schätzt zudem die Atmosphäre im Team und freut sich auf die Zusammenarbeit. – „Luckily for me, I have experience coaching in this part of Europe, so it will be less of a culture shock and learning curve."
